Answer the questions below to narrow the Trailer Parts Direct drawer slide range by locking style, required extension, loaded weight, drawer width, application and environment. Width-based heavy-duty rules are applied automatically.
Do you need Locking or Non-Locking drawer slides?
Locking runners are commonly used for fridge slides and cargo drawers where positive lock-out is desired. Non-locking runners are commonly used where a separate keyed paddle handle or folding T-handle provides drawer security.
How far do you want the drawer or tray to slide out?
Enter the required actual extension from the closed position. The calculator accounts for full-extension and 75% extension runners automatically.
How much loaded weight do the runners need to carry?
Include the drawer or tray itself in the loaded weight. Weight should be reasonably evenly distributed; where possible, keep heavier items toward the rear half and lighter items toward the front.
How wide is your drawer or slide?
Published runner load ratings are based on an approximately 500mm-square drawer or tray. The calculator automatically applies heavier-duty runner rules as your drawer or slide gets wider.
What are the slides being used for?
Fridge slides and cargo drawers are treated separately because fridge-slide durability requirements can override the normal static weight calculation.
What is the litre capacity of your fridge?
For long-term 4WD fridge-slide service, fridges 60L and greater are restricted to 227kg locking runners regardless of the lower static weight selected above.
Will the slides be directly exposed to weather?
Answer Yes when the runners are directly outside in the elements, such as a roof-mounted solar slide or an uncovered ute tray. Answer No when installed inside a canopy, under a tonneau, inside a caravan tunnel boot, workshop cabinet or similar protected location.
Where are the slides going?
Boat and marine applications are restricted to stainless steel runners. If a marine application is also directly weather exposed, only the stainless steel base-mount range is considered.
