Recovery Tracks Don’t Have to Live on the Roof

Recovery boards are commonly mounted to roof racks, platforms and the outside of canopies because they’re awkward to store.

But that creates two problems – they’re continually exposed to the weather and they’re clearly visible to anyone around your vehicle.

Our 4WD Recovery Board Storage Bag provides a clever alternative by allowing the boards to be stored underneath a suitable canopy door or against a wall.

They’re still easy to access when the 4WD gets stuck – they’re just not permanently sitting outside.

Mount the Bag Using 7.5mm Sail Track

Instead of permanently fixing the canvas bag itself to your canopy, we’ve incorporated 7.5mm keder along both sides.

Install two compatible lengths of sail track in the appropriate positions and the keder edges can slide into the track to support the bag.

This makes under-door storage particularly useful because you’re turning a large area of otherwise unused space into a dedicated recovery gear location.

Compatible sail track can be mechanically attached using suitable fasteners such as rivets or installed using an appropriate high-strength adhesive method for the application.

Sail track is not supplied with the bag.

Recovery Gear Ready When Things Go Wrong

When you’re bogged, the last thing you need is a complicated storage system.

The recovery boards are retained inside the bag with a Velcro closing flap at the end.

Open the canopy, release the flap and slide the recovery tracks straight out.

After use, they slide back into the bag ready for the next recovery.

Keep Expensive Gear Inside

Internal storage helps keep your recovery tracks away from prolonged direct sunlight and weather exposure.

It also puts them inside the canopy and out of obvious view, rather than leaving valuable 4WD equipment openly mounted to the exterior of your vehicle.

For touring vehicles carrying a lot of equipment, it’s another way to make better use of available internal space.

The Wagon Owner’s Sand & Mud Solution

Don’t have a canopy? The bag is still extremely useful.

Anyone who has used recovery tracks in soft sand or mud knows what happens afterwards – they come back filthy.

Instead of putting dirty boards directly onto the carpet in your wagon, SUV or cargo area, slide them into the canvas bag first.

The bag helps contain the leftover sand, mud and general trail grime, making it much easier to keep the inside of the vehicle clean.
