The Dunn & Watson deluxe 4WD cargo drawers are ideal for Utes and 4WD wagons, whether you’re touring around Australia or working locally. Made from aluminium, they’re lightweight, but sturdy enough to take a beating on the road. They come with our 125kg locking drawer slides so that they easily glide open and closed, but don’t slide open or slam shut in transit. They have compression sealing to make them completely weatherproof and a key locking Whale Tail folding T handle (compression type lock) that makes these drawers very secure. 

Opening to a full 100% extension for easy access to the rear of the drawers, they also have a powder coated face and can be stacked one on top of the other or side by side. Notches on either side of the drawers provide a spot to hang one of our benches, increasing your workspace or creating a handy kitchen area with a pantry bag. What’s the size of these 4WD cargo drawers?

These cargo drawers are available in four different lengths. The width and height of these four models is the same (width is 500mm and the height is 300mm), whilst the lengths are 750mm, 850mm, 1000mm or 1350mm. If these sizes aren’t suitable for your vehicle, then we can custom manufacture these sliding drawers to match your specifications. What’s the benefit of the Whale Tail folding T handle?

These handles are extremely strong and weatherproof, as well as being easy to use. It’s a very popular handle that’s used for a variety of applications in caravans, camper trailers, toolboxes, 4WD canopies and under tray drawers. This rear fixing and flush mounted handle has no visible screws on the outside and can be key locked. The key cylinder is hidden by the handle when it’s folded down and closed (keeping the cylinder free from dust and out of sight and access to thieves) and it also has the fixings for an additional padlock if needed. 

The actual handle has an ergonomic design and is quite large. It also folds out making it easy to grip, but small enough to fit smoothly against the front of the drawer. Then there’s the compression feature that creates a tight weather seal, protecting the drawer’s contents from the elements. How to select the correct size 4WD cargo drawers

If you have a single cab Ute or wagon, then you’ll have no problem fitting our largest drawers (length is 1350mm) inside your canopy or tray. With a single cab, however, you might want to opt for a shorter size, depending on whether you have a side or rear opening canopy. Also, it’s important to remember that if you only have 850mm of space available (for example), then the 850mm drawer system won’t fit, because the space will likely be too tight. In this instance, you would need to opt for the 750mm model or ask us to custom manufacture a drawer system to suit your exact space.
