FAQs
Are these drawer slides sold by the pair?
Yes, all our drawer slides are sold in pairs. This means you get a left and right hand runner, enough to build one drawer.
Can I run one locking and one non locking drawer slide on my setup?
You must either have both non locking or locking drawer slides. Splitting the pairs doesn't last long term. One locking leaver struggles to keep your drawer square and leads to failure of the locking mechanism in the future and voids your warranty. To counter this issue we have developed a locking leaver bar so one hand can operate both locking leavers at the same time. Please see link for leaver bar kits https://trailerpartsdirect.com.au/shop/drawer-slides/drawer-slide-accessories/227kg-locking-leaver-bar-latch/
How do I disconnect and rec-connect slides?
There is a video demonstration on this page that shows how to disconnect and re-connect your drawer slide. If you are still unsure we recommend you contact our customer service team for assistance before any damage is caused to the runner 1300210549.
Can I lay these flat for install?
No, drawer slides must be installed vertically. Whilst they will operate laying flat, they are not designed to work this way and there is no load rating for a flat mounted install. Installing your drawer slides flat will also void your warranty.
Is the advertised length extended or closed?
The sizes noted are the length of the runners from nose to tail in a closed position. This closed length the leaver tab at the front of all locking slides. These tabs add +30mm to the overall closed length noted.
What size bolts do I use for install?
Bolts used in drawer slide install must have a low profile head. Any bolt head too bulky will result in them colliding inside the slide during the opening and closing process. For 125kg and 227kg series drawer slides Dunn & Watson recommend 5mm bolts and nuts.
Why has my rear stopper fallen off or damaged?
Slamming your drawer can bend the rear fitting holding your stopper in place. Movement of this fitting from excessive force changes the stationary location of the stopper designed to run parallel with the slides. Once this stopper is no longer in its original position it collides with the slides cause pieces of it to beak off and evenly fall apart.
Why is my drawer rattling forwards and backwards?
Slamming your drawer causes your rear stopper to move (Refer FAQ above 'Why has my rear stopper fallen off or damaged?'). The factory location of the rear stopper keeps your runner in a tight position at its true 0% extension, when the rear stopper is moved due to slamming it creates play in the slide to rock between it's original 0% extension point and the gap to the moved stoppers new location. Bending the stopper forward to its original location will eliminate this play.
