Weather protection

Whether or not you’re worried about the weather affecting your tools or vehicles depends on whether you’re using our Sticky D product! This adhesive boasts the protection of a rubber pinchweld seal coupled with a simple adhesive installation process courtesy of the accompanying foam tape.

High quality foam rubber seal

Designed to last and function for the long term, the Sticky D is made from high quality foam and rubber to ensure an uncompromised sealing functionality. We don’t believe in letting any subpar materials into our manufacturing process which is why we’re confident in our guarantee that your rubber D seal won’t let anything foreign into your container or vehicle.

Memory foam

Thanks to our use of memory foam, our self adhesive seal molds perfectly to any application. Highly absorbent and soft, the memory foam seal will distribute its mass and weight easily to conform to the place in which it is stuck. Additionally, memory foam is known for its impact resistance making it perfect for heavy everyday usage.

Medium density neoprene

Our rubber D seals are made from a medium density neoprene. Neoprene is a synthetic rubber material produced with durability and moisture-resistance in mind. Being both ultra-light and super strong, by using medium neoprene we’ve removed the worry of your seal breaking after regular and frequent use.

Compression seal

At Trailer Parts Direct, we know that a seal that only works with 99% effectiveness is 100% useless. Not only does the seal part of our Sticky D compress to ensure effectiveness, but the actual material compresses as well to ensure that your tight spaces are kept sealed and safe.

Dimensions

The Sticky D adhesive is sold in metre length units with a standard 9.5 millimetre width and 5.6 millimetre height. These industry standard dimensions are custom designed to ensure that the self adhesive rubber D seal is versatile in application and can be used in a variety of contexts.

3M adhesive

We take our seals very seriously. Not only is the foam component of the Sticky D of high quality, but we also use 3M adhesive to ensure clean, strong and reliable adhesion. This acrylic foam and adhesive works to absorb any energy enacted upon it and then relax the stress internally to ensure the adhesive bond is uncompromised and protected. Big power comes in small packages and with our adhesive D seal this couldn’t be more true.

Multiple sizes

There’s a self adhesive rubber D seal for everyone. Our rubber seals come in three standard sizes to suit a range of applications:

• Medium

When deciding what size D seal to order for your specific application, we advise working off of a 50% minimum rule. This means that when you measure the gaps you need sealed in your toolbox, four-wheel-drive or campervan, make sure to measure it at various points in case the gap size changes. By working off a 50% minimum, you can guarantee that you’ll hit the necessary 30% sealing for effectiveness. Without taking this into account you could find yourself with one end that is safely and strongly sealed, while the other side is letting dust, dirt, water or moisture through. 

Easy to install

We haven’t just made finding the right self adhesive rubber D seal easy, we’ve made installing it easy too! This hassle-free product is simple to use. Just remove the double sided tape and place it wherever you need. It’ll ensure protection of your campervan or toolbox and takes just seconds to put into place. 

Double sided tape inner liner

Our seals all come with self-adhesive backing. Unlike other sealing products in the market, the double sided tape used in our Sticky D products use acrylic double sided tape rather than spray liner. This, coupled with our 3M adhesive, makes for the strongest tape possible. Once you’ve set your seal into place, you’ll feel confident that there will be no movement, no sag and no undue wear and tear. In terms of great, long term seals, nothing beats Sticky D!
