Why you need the 60L tilting fridge slide

The highly durable 60L tilting fridge slide is ideal for all sorts of vehicles, from camper trailers to four-wheel-drives. If your vehicle is too high for easy access to your installed fridge, the tilting slide will offer the perfect solution. You’ll be able to lift the lid of your fridge easily, pull out the fridge completely and ease it into a nice pivot and tilt downwards. What sizes are available?

This Dunn and Watson tilt slide is suitable for fridges with a capacity of 60 litres. Our full range of fridges tilt slides include a number of other sizes:

50L and under
80L and over
95L and over

The length of the 60L tilt slide is 830mm. The total width is 610mm (540mm for the internal width plus the two 35mm wide tilting arms. It’s also important to note that, with the locking feature at the front of the slide, you need to ensure you have an extra 25mm. The length you’ll need therefore is 855mm. The locking mechanism does not add anything to the width.

Measuring the size of your fridge to ensure it fits perfectly in the internal tray of the slide should be done carefully. Measured properly, the slide will work seamlessly for a variety of the most popular fridge brands such as Engel, Evakool and Waeco.

Tilting fridge slide or drop down fridge slide

What’s the difference between the tilting fridge slide and the drop down fridge slide?

While they operate similarly, the two slides have unique differences and fit different situations. The Platinum Drop Down Fridge Slide, for example, locks like the tilt fridge slide but does not tilt. Rather the drop down fridge slide pulls horizontally out of its closed position and then drops automatically about 300mm. The drop down fridge slide allows you to get to the contents of your fridge at a lower height and can be installed on top of a vehicle drawer system or even a false floor. Both of these applications wouldn’t be able to hold a tilt feature or a standard pull out fridge slide. The tilting fridge slide is the perfect solution for a variety of different situations but may not be suitable for all of them. Using the 60L tilt slides

The 60L tilt slides are super easy to use! Thanks to the gas assisted lift, all you have to do is unlock the front locking trigger by pressing on them and pulling the fridge out along the slide. The triggers are attached to the front of each drawer slide. In its fully extended horizontal position, the slide will lock safely into place. Then you’re able to utilise the ergonomic handle to pivot the fridge downwards.

Once you’re finished with the fridge, just replace it back into your ute or caravan. Press the trigger levers to unlock the slides and, with the gas assisted struts, you can push it back into its closed position. When properly and fully closed, the locking mechanism will kick in again keeping your fridge in place.
