Benefits of our Locking Lever Bar Latch
Without our Locking Lever Bar Latch, you need two hands to unlock and lock the fridge or drawer slides. That’s because you need to depress the triggers located at the front end of each slider, then pull the sliders towards you with both hands before locking it in the open position. Once you have finished accessing your fridge or drawer, you then need to depress these two triggers again to unlock the sliders, push it back into the closed position and relock it by releasing the triggers.
However, when you install our Locking Lever Bar Latch, you only need one hand for the entire job. This makes the operation of your locking drawer slides so much easier, particularly when you have your hands full. It’s also ideal for anyone with a touch of arthritis in the hands or fingers, because depressing the triggers might be difficult or painful.
The single lever bar along the front of your sliders means that you just need to hook a finger over the bar and press down slightly to unlock the sliders (you can even use the palm of your hand), then pull the bar towards you to open the slider. To close, you simply depress the Locking Lever Bar Latch again to unlock the sliders, push the sliders back into the fully closed position and release the bar.
Benefits of our locking drawer slides
We have light duty (60kg), medium duty (125kg) and heavy duty (227kg) locking drawer slides. They are available in a variety of lengths and open to their full extension. They are strong and long lasting and are ideal for tradies and campers. Anyone who needs to open and close drawers in the back of their Ute, van, caravan, RV or 4WD or needs to access a fridge, generator or other heavy item can benefit from locking drawer slides.
That’s because, unlike regular drawer slides, locking drawer slides lock into the open or closed position. There’s really no other difference between the regular and locking drawer slides, except for the additional locking mechanism. The huge benefit of this locking mechanism is that when in the fully open or fully closed positions, the sliders will not move back and forth when you are driving, parked on a slope or if they are nudged.
Drawers or fridges can become dangerous missiles if the sliders open and close accidentally, which can easily happen on the road. This makes a locking mechanism a huge benefit to anyone who uses drawer or fridge slides. Safety is a big factor with these locking drawer slides and they are extremely popular with campers and tradies.
You can also easily disconnect our 60kg and 125kg locking drawer slides when you need to access a small space behind the drawers or fridge. They are also available in a wide range of lengths to suit most of your needs. All these drawer slides (60kg, 125kg and 227kg) can be fitted to any drawer system, whether checker plate, aluminium or carpet lined.
When you add a Locking Lever Bar Latch to your locking drawer slides, you automatically increase its functionality, versatility and ease of use. If you really want to increase safety on the road, you can’t go wrong with fitting a pair of our locking drawer slides along with our Locking Lever Bar Latch.
